Train Driver/Support Staff |
The Museum is seeking three (3) part-time drivers to operate a small electric train (seats approximately 20 people) that shuttles visitors on a circuit around the Museum. Drivers will also be trained to manage the line for the train. Must be available to work Saturdays/Sundays/Mondays, 12:30 p.m. to 5:15 p.m., starting June 3rd through Labor Day. This position requres a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. The ideal candidates will be reliable, responsible, outgoing, and enjoy working with families with young children. The Train Driver/Support Staff role is responsible for following proper safety procedures at all times and actively engaging with children and adults to enhance their experience. Excellent communication and visitor service skills are required. Candidates must be small to medium sized in stature in order to comfortably drive the train.

Curious George Costumed Character and Handler |
Curious George costumed character and handler for meet-and-greet/photo opportunities. Costume candidates must be between 5 foot - 5 foot, 2 inches in height and small to medium build. They will also be a handler when not in the costume. Both positions are Saturday/Sunday/ Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. - 3:45 p.m. Both hires will work from June 1 through September 8th. Candidates should be outgoing and comfortable in a large group setting. Position is non-exempt.

Exhibit Specialist |
Non-exempt; part-time; weekday afternoons 1:00 – 5:15 p.m.. The Exhibit Specialist assists in the opening/closing procedures of the Museum, understands and demonstrates his/her knowledge of the Museum’s general themes and exhibits, and actively interacts with children and adults to enhance their enjoyment and learning experiences. Exhibit Specialists are also trained as greeters for scheduled field trips/groups, and should feel comfortable speaking in front of large groups. Must be outgoing and have a positive, professional demeanor. A strong interest in teaching or education, or prior experience working with children is necessary, as well as good communication and visitor service skills.
