Alice's Wonderland Rental Information
Children's Discovery Museum of San Jose is pleased to offer a traveling exhibition based on Lewis Carroll's classic, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. With inspiration from Alice the intrepid explorer, the exhibition inspires curiosity, encourages exploration, and helps make the unknown more familiar, maybe even logical, and certainly fun.
With funding from the National Science Foundation, MetLife Foundation, Skoll Community Fund, Integrated Archive Systems, and the Bryan and Deborah Stolle Family Fund, this exhibition is scheduled to travel over a four-year period, serving an audience of over 2 million children and their caregivers. In partnership with the University of California, Santa Cruz and a team of women research scientists from industry, CDM has created a lively and interactive 2500 square foot traveling exhibition.
The target audience for Alice's Wonderland is young children ages 3 to 8, together with their parents and teachers. With an emphasis on girls and minorities, populations traditionally underrepresented in science and math, the exhibition provides rich, developmentally appropriate learning experiences in math, science, and literacy.

Feedback about Alice's Wonderland:
As you can imagine, like all of my colleagues in this industry, I spend a great deal of time looking over exhibits and pondering what would be exciting to bring to Imagine It! The Children's Museum of Atlanta. The comment I often make to our team here is usually " . . . I am always on the lookout for exhibits that are 1. age appropriate (our entire museum is geared for 8 years old and younger) and 2. quality work." I feel moved to let you know that I am completely impressed with the Alice exhibit. It's age appropriate, creative, artistic, developmentally on target, AND holds true to the essence of the story and Alice's experience in the book. If the real exhibit aligns with what I see in your manual and website, it will surely be one of the best opportunities we've presented, should the booking come to fruition.
Just wanted to let our friends in San Jose know how much Atlanta appreciates the work you're doing.
