Bob the Builder Project: Build It
Open through September 6th
Bob the Builder Project: Build It exhibit brings Bob’s world to life for girls and boys and their families. Filled with colorful characters, sensational sets and imaginative and inspiring teamwork, the exhibit promotes “green” themes from the popular television series by HIT Entertainment.
The exhibit replicates Bob the Builder’s Sunflower Valley, a place where young children will feel comfortable and can interact with child-sized elements from the series. Here children will be able to fix, decorate, and pretend with hands-on activities that were inspired directly from the “Bob the Builder” animated show.
All senses will be stimulated as boys and girls build, learn, and play in the Bob the Builder Project: Build It exhibit as they help their favorite builder and his team of machines get the job done. Can we build it? Yes we can!
Saturday Bob the Builder Character Appearances
Bob the Builder is scheduled to appear most Saturdays. Please check back on Friday for next week's schedule. Appearance times subject to change.
Bob the Builder Project: Build It exhibit is presented by Delta Faucet, produced by HIT Entertainment and The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis.

Run! Jump! Fly!
Adventures in Action
Open through September 6th
Rediscover the fun in being physically active in CDM’s newest traveling exhibit, Run! Jump! Fly! Adventures in Action. Challenge your balance skills in the “Surfing and Snowboarding” environment, as you “ride” down a mountain and off a cliff to land as a surfer in the ocean. You can also increase your coordination in “Kung Fu Forest,” build strength on the trails of “Climbing Canyon,” and then strap on a bike helmet and light up the sky with the energy you generate in “Flycycle Sky.” Be sure to check out the “Action Star Training Center” where you can experiment with yoga, strength training, and dance. Track your accomplishments by collecting stamps in your Action Tracker, and then continue your activity at home with a 3-Day Mission Action Tracker.
In response to the U.S.’s growing obesity epidemic, Minnesota Children’s Museum developed an all-new exhibit for the Youth Museum Exhibit Collaborative (YMEC). The goal of Run! Jump! Fly! Adventures in Action is to get kids into action by exploring fun things they like to do.

Did You Know?
Children’s Discovery Museum will participate in 2010 01SJ Biennial, produced by ZER01.Since 2006, San Jose has played host to the ZERO1 international arts and technology festival. This September, ZER01 will explore the theme “Build Your Own World.” In a collaboration with Rockwell Group’s LAB (a small team within the acclaimed architecture and design firm) the Museum will create an environment featuring hundreds of biodegradable foam blocks. As children build and play with these blocks, their activity will be translated into live visualizations, both onsite and at City Hall Plaza. Don’t miss your chance to explore these Imagination Playground Blocks and “see” the world you build in a whole new light. CDM invites you to join us, show us, and build it…
