The Equation for Calculating Lupe's Height

The equation paleontologists used to figure out how tall Lupe is:

Shoulder height = (6.25 x femur length + 14.816) divided by 2.5

Lupe’s shoulder height = (6.25 x 27 inches + 14.816) divided by 2.5 = 73.4 inches = 6 feet!

You can use this equation too. How tall is a baby mammoth that has a femur 20 inches long? What about an adult mammoth that has a femur 40 inches long?
