Self-Portraits

 

Discovery Youth participants created self-portraits that are now hanging on the CDM floor. Not only did these projects require a great deal of technical skill, they also display the tremendous amount of confidence that the youth have developed at CDM.

 

Displaying artwork that depicts such personal reflection and introspection to thousands of museum visitors takes confidence and poise that many adolescents do not possess.
