Make a “window” out of construction paper and cardboard that shows both the day and night sky.
MATERIALS
- 8.5” x 11” pieces of cardboard and black and blue construction paper
- Sky image (download .pdf)
- Glue stick
- Scissors
- Optional: popsicle stick, crayons or markers
TRY IT!
- Cut black and blue construction paper and cardboard into frames of the same size with 2” wide borders.
- Glue the black piece of paper on one side of cardboard and the blue piece on the other side. If you like, you can glue a popsicle stick between the paper and the cardboard to use as a handle to hold up your sky window.
- Download the sky image from the url above, then print it and cut it into a 1” square or rectangle.
- Glue each sky image onto the window frame during a conversation with your child about what has been seen in the sky.
