Full-time; Exempt; Children’s Discovery Museum of San Jose is looking for a skilled HR Manager to oversee all aspects of its Human Resources practices and processes. The HR Manager is responsible for the overall operations of personnel issues including museum policies; benefits and compensation programs; employee recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, recordkeeping, and all compliance-related reporting. This position also manages all payroll functions and processing. As a member of the management team, participation in the monthly rotation as the Museum’s Acting Floor Manager is required.
This position is a full-time, exempt position and requires 3+ years previous management experience in the Human Resources field. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with excellent judgment, are a must. Based on the museum’s operational schedule, working on some holiday and weekends are required.
