Learn about the phases of the moon during the celebration of Hanukkah with artist Jeffrey Warwick as he shares his “Lunar Hanukkah Menorahs”, or “Hanukkiahs.” This holiday is eight days long. Just as the Hebrew language is read right to left, the phases of the moon during Hanukkah are shown on his menorahs from right to left. The Jewish calendar is Luni-Solar, mostly based on the lunar cycle of the moon.
