Explore gravity and create a masterpiece at the same time!
MATERIALS
- Baster or spoon
- Paint (washable tempera)
- Paper
- Hard background, such as a clipboard, cardboard or foam board
- Towel to collect excess paint
- Tray or plastic bin (optional)

TRY IT!
- Angle the hard background surface against something so that it is angled upright to allow paint to drip down the paper.
- Place a piece of paper on the background surface. Secure with a paperclip or binder clip if necessary.
- Place a towel at the bottom of the paper to collect the drips of paint.
- Mix a little bit of water to the paint so that the paint drips easily down the paper.
- Using the baster or the spoon, add paint to the top of the paper. Allow the paint to drip down the paper.
- Try using different colors. Do they mix together to form new colors?
