Juneteenth celebration at the Children’s Discovery Museum in San Jose

Visitors tried their hand at drumming with master drummer Pope Flyne and then made their own drums to take home at the Juneteenth Community Celebration. Museum Receives Grant from NEA for Arts Programs

Hands-on art activities and live performances are coming back to the museum this summer. A $100,000 grant from the National Endowment of Arts will fund an arts specialist position to restore the arts program that was put on hold during the pandemic. The funding is part of the American Rescue Plan to help arts and cultural organizations through the past two and a half years. Learn More
