What the Residency Offers Artists:
- A stipend of $1,500 every 4 weeks, or $4,500 over 12 weeks for weekly hands-on art activity programming and the additional artist responsibilities (details outlined in the application form)
- Opportunities for the artist to display their artwork in the Museum’s Art Gallery
- Assets from our marketing team, including: photos and a spotlight video about the artist and their creative work, promotion on our social media platforms for the artist and their creative work, and online dissemination through our Virtual Purple Museum.
- Opportunities to engage with the greater Bay Area community and beyond!

Projected 2023-2024 Residency Timeline:
Fall Artist-in-Residence: October 7 – December 31, 2023 (12 weekends, excluding December 23 and 24)
Winter Artist-in-Residence: January 13 – March 31, 2024 (12 weekends)
Spring Artist-in-Residence: April 13 – June 30, 2024 (12 weekends)
Summer Artist-in-Residence: July 13 – September 29, 2024 (12 weekends)
