“Most people use their hand to hold a brush to paint, but some people don’t have that option so they hold the brush any way it works best for them. There are artists who use their mouth, their toes, their elbow, or even a computer to paint.

I use my head. I wear a hard hat with a stick attached. My paintbrush is taped to that stick. Someone helps me mix paint, tape the brush I want to use, and turn my canvas so I can reach every side. BUT I create the art.

When I was little no one knew I could paint with my head so they did the art for me. It didn’t feel the same. Being able to create my own art is powerful. I hope you come try painting with your head to see what it is like for me and come say Hello.” –Donald Ryker, Artist
