Papermaking: Create a Butterfly!

Saturday, January 26th
10am – 4pm in the Art Loft

Julia Goodman will teach you a creative way to make paper butterflies with minimal equipment and maximum fun. Take home your very own handmade paper butterfly!

Julia Goodman is an artist and educator who works with humble and visceral materials to consider personal, political and ecological cycles. Goodman’s recent exhibitions include The Contemporary Jewish Museum (San Francisco, CA), Saint Mary’s College (Notre Dame, IN), The Poetry Foundation (Chicago, IL), San Jose Institute for Contemporary Art, and the Center for Book Arts (New York, NY). Her residencies include the JB Blunk Residency, Recology SF (The Dump), Angelic Organics (a biodynamic CSA in Illinois) and the Salina Art Center. Julia received her MFA from California College of the Arts and her BA in International Relations and Peace & Justice Studies from Tufts University.
